Ohio Valley Flight Academy is owned and operated by Dinny Walford, experienced pilot and flight instructor with nearly 20,000 flight hours and 40 years of experience. Dinny has provided over 22,000 hours of flight instruction. He has been a CFII ME instructor for over 37. In 2002, Dinny was awarded Certified Flight Instructor of the year for the entire northeastern part of the United States. It is the most prestigious honor awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Dinny has over 22,000 hours of flight experience. If you think about it, that’s over two solid years of time in the air. He has been a designated pilot examiner for the Pittsburgh District.

Ohio Valley Flight Academy offers year round student acceptance and training with flexible hours. Training is conducted one-on-one with the same instructor and generally the same time each week. Flight training courses are combined, when appropriate, to obtain maximum benefit and cost effectiveness to provide a safe, competent & marketable pilot.
